Interior
Emily’s job is to be a versatile varsity threat—knock down shots, finish at the rim, and use her quick learning to execute what we need on offense. She helps the team by putting in extra work to reach her all-league potential and challenging herself to become a defensive stopper who guards the other team’s best players.
-
Strengths – what you already do well and can rely on in games.
- Second-year player and first-year varsity with loads of all-league potential.
- Quick learner who picks up concepts, sets, and reads fast.
- Has the ability to shoot and finish, giving us a legit scoring threat at multiple levels.
- Versatile offensively—can help space the floor, attack closeouts, and finish plays when she’s aggressive.
-
Growth Areas – specific skills, decisions, or habits she needs to improve.
- Needs consistent extra work (shots, finishes, footwork) to unlock her full offensive potential.
- Keep tightening her handle so she can create her own shot and handle varsity-level pressure.
- Work on finishing through contact and at game speed so her scoring shows up every night.
- Build defensive fundamentals—stance, slides, closeouts—so she can take on tougher assignments.
-
Leadership – how she communicates, leads teammates, and the team’s energy.
- Can lead by example as a talented young varsity player who puts in extra reps and takes development seriously.
- Her scoring ability can shift momentum in games, making her a potential “run-starter” for us.
- By embracing the challenge of being a defensive stopper, she can set a standard for two-way effort.
- As her confidence grows, she can use her voice more to encourage teammates and bring energy on both ends.
