Alicia’s job is to use her elite athleticism to change the game—run the floor, attack the rim, defend, and rebound—while slowing down just enough to stay under control. She helps the team by showing up on time, locking in on fundamentals and film, and turning her raw talent into consistent, reliable varsity production.
-
Strengths – what you already do well and can rely on in games.
- Second-year player and first-year varsity with elite raw athleticism that needs to be cultivated.
- Has unlimited potential—she can impact the game in transition, on the glass, and defensively when locked in.
- Covers ground quickly, which can make her dangerous in the open floor and as a help defender.
- Shows flashes of high-level play that hint at how good she can be with more fundamentals and reps.
-
Growth Areas – specific skills, decisions, or habits she needs to improve.
- Needs to keep building fundamentals—footwork, ball-handling, finishing, and basic reads.
- Must learn to slow down just a bit and control her speed so she plays under control instead of rushed.
- Being on time and consistent with attendance is huge for her growth and trust with the team.
- Needs regular individual workouts and film study to better understand spacing, timing, and how to use her gifts.
-
Leadership – how she communicates, leads teammates, and the team’s energy.
- Can lead by showing how a high-level athlete works when she locks in and takes fundamentals seriously.
- Her energy and ability to make explosive plays can shift momentum and lift the team.
- As she becomes more reliable with timing and focus, she can be someone teammates count on in big moments.
- By embracing film, asking questions, and growing her IQ, she can set an example of how to turn raw talent into real production.
